“when I was a teenager I heard the quote “we accept the love we think we deserve” vocalist Alex Magnan said. “I didn’t really understand what that meant until I got older. “Jesus” is a song about codependency – feeling the need to stay in your relationship because leaving is much harder. and you’re okay with the love you’re receiving, even though it’s not real.”
