German pop-punk band JANIZ release new single “Lovebirds”.
“Lovebirds” follows a character falling in love too easy, too fast repeatedly. This tendency of constantly missing critical red flags and being all in, head over heels may be prone to entering unhealthy relationships.
Lovebirds is approaching this topic with a little wink.
It is a light and jolly pop punk song telling short ironic stories with a funny and sarcastic tone to it. It got catchy guitars and vocal lines, to bring all the pop punk features we love so much to a modern 2022 sound and topic. Its infectious and light hearted uptempo vibes will soak you in right from the start.

The emo/pop-punk band JANIZ from Chemnitz has been busy on the road since their formation in 2015 and has shared the stage with artists like Max Giesinger and First Blood. Their ultra-modern sound combined with their highly emotional themes hits a nerve, we can’t help but feel transported back to the heyday of pop-punk in the early 2000s. But not without picking out the complexity and D.I.Y. spirit of a modern young band.

Their new EP, “Candy Colored Rain,”  is a swan song to pretending to be okay. Depression, social exclusion, social media: JANIZ sing in a mixture of Paramore, My Chemical Romance and Blink 182 about things that are unfortunately hardly ever talked about.

“Candy Colored Rain” will be released on June 17, 2022 and was mastered by Flo Siller (Sportfreunde Stiller, Bela B), among others.
